Polish-Ukrainian Fren erupts onto the scene with a blend of emotionally charged instrumental music, where sublime melancholy naturally coexists with spontaneity, flame and energy. The band is not afraid to fill their long compositions with multilayered complex landscapes, smoothly shifting between dreamlike trances and unbridled dynamics.

The band was formed in 2017 by pianist Oskar Cenkier, guitarist Michał Chalota, bassist Andrew Shamanov & drummer Oleksii Fedoriv. Under Fren monicker they have played a number of warmly received shows and shared the stage with Caravan (UK), Stoned Jesus (UA), The Sonic Dawn (DK), Virgil Donati’s Icefish (IT), Steve Rothery (UK) and others. Their sound has been lauded as a post-progressive fusion of vintage influences and innovative ideas , drawing comparisons to iconic bands such as Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Änglagård, and Caravan.

Fren’s critically acclaimed debut album titled “Where Do You Want Ghosts to Reside” was released in 2020. Building on their success, the band followed up with their eagerly anticipated second album, "All the Pretty Days", in 2022. This latest release further showcases the band's evolution, cementing their status as dynamic creators in the post-progressive genre and beyond.
